LectureNova is a very simple program running in Python, but even with simple programs, coding takes time.  I have one suggestion that will make my life easier (and therefore get your program online sooner):

1) For every new position, LectureNova must use bsetup, which takes time for me to code.  Instead of including a graphical diagram, you could include the FEN position, which looks something like this: rnbqkbnr/pppppppp/8/8/8/8/PPPPPPPP/RNBQKBNR (the starting position).  Capital letters are White pieces, lowercase are Black pieces, and the board is covered from the 8th rank to the 1st from left to right.  Most chess programs allow you to simply copy/paste the fen position given a certain setup.
